Narcissistic Abuse from any Cluster B personality disordered person in or who was in your life creates Cognitive Dissonance which is one of the most major obstacles that blocks action and recovery. It keeps people stuck in relationships and/or contact after a relationship or with a parent because it is so hard to overcome. In fact you can't overcome it until you take action to get away and/or go no contact with the Narcissistic Abuser. I explain Cognitive Dissonance 4 ways you can reduce the Dissonance and the reality of how much pain this generates. No one gets out of a Cluster B abusive relationship or goes no contact feeling positive or assured about that choice. You first need action and Cognitive Dissonance cannot be reduced and resolved until after you are out of the active abusive dynamic so that you can begin to heal by dissonance reduction which takes varying amounts of time in the life and process of each victim/survivor of Narcissistic Abuse.
