Homemade Cabbage Soup Recipe
I make Homemade Cabbage Soup with beef and shell pasta. This is a very tasty and hearty meal. Hope you give it a try!
Cabbage Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef
1 tsp Thyme
1/4 tsp Summer Savory (optional)
1 Bayleaf
1 Small Onion
1/2 Green Bell Pepper
2 Stalks Celery
5 Cloves Garlic
1 Head Cabbage
24 oz Beef Broth
28 oz can Petite Diced Tomatoes
5 Potatoes
8 oz Carrots
8 oz Green Beans
4 oz Shell Pasta
4 Cups Water
Salt & Pepper to taste
Toppings:
Shredded Parmesan
Fresh Parsley
Instructions:
Brown meat and drain grease
Add onion, bell pepper, and celery. Sweat veggies for 4-5 mins on Med-High.
Add Garlic and continue cooking 2 mins over med-high heat.
Add remaining ingredients except for pasta and water. Cook covered on Medium heat for 30-45 mins or until carrots and potatoes are tender.
Add Water and Pasta. Continue cooking until pasta is tender (8-10 mins)
Fix a bowl of this fantastic soup and top it with Parmesan and Parsley.
