Police release CCTV footage of pensioner being knocked to ground by man fleeing shoplifting incident

Police have released shocking CCTV footage of an elderly woman being knocked to the ground and injured by a man fleeing a supermarket shoplifting incident.

The footage shows the suspected offender barging into an 81-year-old woman as he runs down the street, chased by a security guard from a Marks & Spencer store.

The woman, who appears to hit her head against a shop window as she falls, suffered a broken wrist and bruising.
