Many innocent Israelis have been held hostage in Gaza after the Hamas terror attack of October 7, and these past few days brought good news of a hostage-prisoner exchange between the two sides. However, when delving a little deeper into the details a disturbing reality begins to emerge.

Many of the prisoners held and exchanged from the Israeli side are children, some as young as 14, but another 3,000 prisoners have been captured in the West Bank since the day of the attack. These prisoners are often held indefinitely, with no legal rights, and all their families can do is hope and pray for release - no wonder the Palestinians exist in a state of perpetual anger.

Meanwhile, three Palestinian students were targeted and shot at an American university, and Elon Musk has gone on a PR blitz within Israel after an advertiser scare on X. Unless this conflict gets a real, permanent solution, things will only continue to spiral downhill across the world.
