Italian Moschetto Carcano - Blitz Disassembly and cleaning

This week is a "Blitz" video of me cleaning a Italian Carcano Moschetto rifle I acquired from SarcoInc. The rifle is in good condition, the only issue I have is SarcoInc. engraved their company name on the receiver.

These rifles have a very long history of service in many wars on many continents. They are a fun interesting little rifle with readily available ammunition (6.5 Carcano). This particular one needs the round nosed bullets to properly function.

The audio you are hearing is a British journalist covering the Battle of El Alamein and then the naval invasion of Oran, Algeria. This gives historical context to where many of these rifles were used.

This video is to show the process of disassembly, cleaning and brief reassembly to preserve this rifle and its history for the generations to come.

Enjoy!
