Temporary and Eternity (Isaiah 40:6-8)

Hevel, hevel, everything is hevel. -Ecc.
It's Abel's name in Hebrew, temporary/fleeting indeed. Though man was meant to live forever, that's not how it plays out. We live on this side of the rupture between the two realities, we don't need to stay on this side. As JESUS brought heaven to earth, as we dwell in HIM, we can live in heavenly places, even here on earth. Can have an eternity perspective even when life is temporary and fleeting. Not a place of permanent sorrow rather one of hopeful joy. Not in the vent, rather in The ONE Who controls the outcome. We are fleeting, HIS words last forever. When The Word Made Flesh dwells in us, our lives no longer our own but HIS life lived out in ours, we can know that though this life is fleeting, eternity is not and we focus on where we live from and for, not this temporary thing. Hevel gave all, Hevel gave best, Hevel was given praise because Hevel's perspective was getting back into the center of the garden, not just living on the edge of the land called Eden.
