Episode 018 Strawberry Whiskey Cake

Ingredients
(Cake)
1 cup finely chopped nuts
1 box cake mix
1 box pudding mix
1/2 cup strawberry puree
1/4 cup whiskey
1/2 cup coconut oil
4 eggs, room temp
(Glaze)
1 cup salted butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup whiskey
1/2 cup strawberry puree
Directions
1) Preheat oven to 325, grease and flour a bundt pan.
2) Sprinkle nuts in bottom of prepared pan and set aside.
3) In a large bowl combine the cake mix, pudding mix, whiskey, strawberry puree, coconut oil, and eggs. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
4) Pour batter over the nuts in the pan, bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
5) About 5 minutes before the cake is done start your glaze by combining the butter, sugar, whiskey, and strawberry puree in a medium saucepan and boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
6) Leave hot cake in the pan and use a wooden skewer or chopstick to poke 1000 holes into the cake, the more the better, but don't obliterate the cake on accident! Slowly pour the glaze over the cake and allow the glaze to absorb into the cake. Once it looks like most of the glaze is soaked into the cake, about 15 minutes, you can flip the cake onto a cake pan or a cookie sheet.
7) Let cool and then serve! However the longer the cake sits, the better it gets!!
