Hell Let Loose - Purple Heart Lane - Love it or Hate it?

I've gone through phases with this map. When I started playing HLL, I couldn't stand this map. Having to flank 400-600 meters takes way too long, when in reality crossing a 10 ft wide river should be as simple as walking across it. If this game is aiming for realistic, then show me where WW2 vets, drown in a 6ft deep stream. These vets were hero's, and found ways to survive the toughest of conditions. But nope a creek stopped them.
