We've Drafted A Private Member's Bill

While you've been busy writing letters and sending postcards to educate our MPs, Shawn Buckley has been busy drafting a new Private Member's Bill to repeal sections 500-504 of Bill C-47.

Not only that, a critical part of this Private Member's Bill is to ensure that any penalties or orders that activated while the therapeutic product provisions applied to natural health products are undone.

A Private Member's Bill is a Bill that can be introduced by any Member of Parliament that is not a Member of the Cabinet. After a Bill is introduced to Parliament, the Bill will be debated and voted on by other Members of Parliament, becoming law if it garners sufficient support.

This Private Member's Bill, drafted by Shawn Buckley, is just one of our many initiatives. Remember, we are in this for the long haul and we will not lighten up until we've achieved our goals.
