Borderlines Capacity For Empathy vs Actual Empathy

Borderline capacity for empathy is very real versus their inability when triggered to emotional dysregulation (untreated) to be able to express it. Borderlines are in an unconscious way in the repetition cycles of maladaptive defense mechanisms during which they are in a child-like
emotional state (not always 2 years old) wherein they can't express it or communicate it. They aren't able to intellectually compensate while dysregulated and feeling abandoned. This leads to J.A.D.E. conversations that go nowhere.
