Adventure Now Season 4 Episode 8 - Adventure Now winning the Cod War!!!

Hello and welcome to the 8th episode of the 4th season of Adventure Now!

It's summer time in Iceland!

In this episode we leave Adalvik and continue around the west coast and make for Isafjordur after being hit by very strong katabatic winds in the anchorage. We are welcomed in Insafjordur by a convoy of cruise ships and Mike on Pangey and we are very happy with the latter. It's always good to catch up with friends especially when they radio you in advance to let you know you can moor alongside them! As the ice is not yet clearing from the coast of Greenland, we abandon the idea of sailing to Scoresby Sound and continue with our circumnavigation of Iceland.

We spend a peaceful night in an anchorage near a town called Suðureyri and then motor on to Þingeyri for another one night stop where we explore the town and the old trawler repair facility that used to repair many British trawlers before the Cod Wars!

On the way to Patreksfjörður Mark catches a very big cod, so for the first time since Christmas we need to run the freezer!

Filmed in July 2023 using a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000, DJI Pocket, a Rhode microphone, and edited with iMovie.
