Adoptions finalized in Jackson County

Adoption hearings are on tap this morning in Jackson courtrooms. At least four families will be finalizing adoptions just days before Thanksgiving. The adoptions are an annual event every November, with foster kids getting forever homes just in time for the holidays. Adoption advocates say it's important to raise awareness about the numerous children who are in the foster care system. Many of them will age out of the system if they do not find forever homes.
