On a day that might be the busiest traffic day of the 2023 Christmas shopping season, pro-Hamas activists have decided it's a good time to block the Manhattan Bridge in New York. Much like Sunday's event, pro-Hamas protesters in Los Angeles admitted one purpose of it was to stifle Black Friday shopping. A journalist who covered the protest at the bridge was Nancy Rommelmann, who writes for Reason. In a video she shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), Rommelmann tries to interview a male participant in the Manhattan Bridge demonstration.

A few interesting things happen in the video. First, the guy tries to say she can't record him. Then, as she starts to ask him a question, a woman--who appears to be a minder/group leader of some sort--tries to get between the journalist and the man. Listen as she creepily asks if her "comrade" needs help. I'm no expert in these things, but doesn't that sound like a preplanned tactic meant to thwart media.trying to cover what's happening? After a few seconds, the man does agree to be interviewed away from where he had been standing. But it's no use talking to someone like this, as he starts to spew the usual talking points about "occupation" and wanting a ceasefire by Israel. The journalist isn't having it. Watch how easily Rommelmann shuts him down…
