Click to subscribe: http://bit.ly/Sub-CCxRC  — Today we're looking at the Eachine E50 Drone. It's a small and pocketable drone that is flown using your smartphone as the controller. I was sent this quad to review by Banggood and honestly wasn't expecting to be impressed by it. Maybe it was my low expectations being flipped upside down that made me really like this thing so much. While I'm not a huge fan of using my phone as a controller, it does mean that there is one less thing to carry with me to get this up in the air. The video quality and photos aren't great, but they can be use for low quality social media posts from angles you might not be able to get otherwise.

I like the folding arms that make this a really portable drone. At 100% rates, this thing surprised me. The controls are responsive and the speed was more than expected - enough for even me to have fun with it. It's slow enough that you can fly it in smaller spaces. The camera can act as FPV as it streams to your phone, but I preferred to fly it line of sight.

This would be a good drone to get your feet wet flying - especially if you play a lot of games on your phone. It's quick enough that it can provide some fun for more experienced flyers, though for experienced people, you'd probably enjoy a Tiny Whoop more.

Nothing really negative to say about it other than the battery compartment is tight for the cable and battery. Flight times are typical ranging from 6-8 minutes depending on your rates settings.
