NT Framework 25, Doctrine of Impeccability

Hamas has agreed to release 50 Israeli civilians in exchange for 150 so-called Palestinians. These 150 people are guilty of crimes against Jews. The 50 Israeli civilians are not guilty of any crimes against so-called Palestinians. Why isn't the world demanding that Hamas release all innocent Israeli civilians? Why are they instead demanding that Israel provide humanitarian relief for the people in Gaza? The world is so upside down.

Tomorrow we'll teach the doctrine of impeccability. This doctrine has to do with the knotty problem of how Christ could be tempted to sin since He is God who cannot be tempted to sin. There will be application to this doctrine as well. This is not just theory or heady material. It's practical as you will see.

To keep everything straight, just remember that the proper formulation of the hypostatic union is absolutely critical to getting the kenosis correct, and only then does the impeccability of Christ falls in its proper place. In other words, if you get the hypostatic union wrong, you get everything else wrong. It is foundational to all Christology.

To me it's amazing that there are so many Christians who say they love Jesus but they don't know these things about Jesus. It makes me love Jesus more because I know who He is (in part), and knowing the depths of who He is and what He was doing in His life on earth makes me appreciate and contemplate Him more than I ever imagined. Most of the church has truly abandoned the real Jesus for a caricature and a bracelet WWJD. As you'll see tomorrow, most of the world, including Christians, would not accept Jesus if He came today. They certainly don't Do what Jesus Would Do. He did not fit the social standards of our society and He would be considered a rude, arrogant, problem-maker.
