The "wrath of God" is yet another stumbling block for many Christians. "How can you say that God is only good if in His "wrath" He afflicts people with evil?" The truth is that wrath from God's perspective is you being cutoff from Him due to your sin, fear, unbelief, or rejection of Him. Effectively you come out from under His blessing & protection and then the devil can easily have his way with you. Figuratively speaking, His face is hidden from you so you lack His help & protection. It is the devil that does the stealing, killing, and destroying - not God. It is our bad conduct & beliefs that push God away to the point of our vulnerability and our experiencing of "wrath" of the devil.

Isaiah 54:7-8 NKJV "For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you. (8) With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you," Says the LORD, your Redeemer.

Psalms 89:46 NKJV How long, LORD? Will You hide Yourself forever? Will Your wrath burn like fire?

This will be a 3 or 4 part teaching series. My hope is that you will come away with this resolutely in your heart: "God is light and in Him is no darkness at all."
