By December 2 the Germans' forward units (Motorized regiment supported by 12 tanks) occupied Yushkovo and Burtsevo. The distance to Vnukovo airfield was 11 miles and 19 miles to Moscow. The assault was supported by Ju87 Stukas of StG 2 and Bf110 Zerstorers of II./ZG 26.
Orders: Four MiGs, armed with FAB-50 bombs, must destroy enemy vehicles in the Alabino area.
