They are on their feet 24/7 so a good stretch is important. Parrots stretch for the same reasons people do, to lubricate the joints, to release tension, and primarily because stretching feels good. They always stretch one wing and one leg on the same side of their body at the same time. They also do both sides. They instinctively know that stretching is an important activity. Einstein stretches like this first thing in the morning and at least 2 or 3 times during the day, especially after a nap!
