Now people know not too much about Clydesdales, but this is a very interesting breed. Many Scots believe that these horses were the result of a long breeding solely on the basis of local breeds. The existence of such a “Patriotic” version is understandable because, Clydesdale is the national pride of Scotland. However, the reality, apparently, was more complicated. Traditionally, the history of the breed dates back approximately 300 years, and it appeared as a result of crossing local breeds with a harness Shire horses, imported from the hated England. And its origins are two completely different people: Duke and the farmer, which could not be crossed in his lifetime, but left a common mark on history.
