Major Geomagnetic Storm Warning as the Sun launches multiple CMEs

The auroral oval is expected to remain at background levels at the start of the period. Then two coronal mass ejections are likely to arrive at Earth this coming weekend; the first Friday night into Saturday morning and the other Saturday night into Sunday morning. The second may coincide with the onset of a coronal hole high speed stream, increasing auroral activity. As a result, aurora may become visible (where skies are clear) across Scotland and similar latitudes during Friday and Saturday nights, dependent on the exact timing of the arrival of the aforementioned enhancements.
