Protein Skimmer

Protein skimmer also play an important role in indoor aquaculture systems by helping to separate and extract proteins from feeds, thus effectively utilising and recycling the organic wastes generated during the farming process.

Extraction of proteins from feeds: In indoor aquaculture systems, artificial feeds are usually used as the main food source for cultured organisms. Protein separators can help to separate the proteins from the feed efficiently, increase protein utilisation and reduce wastage of feed.

Degradation of organic wastes: A large amount of organic wastes, such as feed residues, faeces, etc., are generated during the farming process. These organic wastes, if not effectively treated, will lead to water pollution and deterioration of the farming environment. Protein separator can reduce the accumulation of organic waste by separating and recycling the protein in the waste, reduce the ammonia nitrogen and nitrogen and phosphorus content of the water body, and improve the water quality.
