Here, we engaged in a fascinating conversation with the winemaker and sampled five or six different wines. Specializing in single-vineyard estate-bottled wines, Spanish Valley Winery handles the entire winemaking process from vine to bottle at this unique location. The vineyard's roots trace back over 40 years to a Utah State University agricultural experiment, initiated when grapes were explored as a potential cash crop to boost the local economy during a shift away from uranium mining profitability. The result? Delicious white German-varietal wines, crafted from the dry, rocky Moab earth.

After a morning hike in the stunning Arches National Park, these wineries provided an excellent and budget-friendly way to unwind.
