Trip To Nathula Pass
Nathula Pass is a mountain pass in the Himalayas that connects the Indian state of Sikkim with Tibet Autonomous Region in China. It's situated at an altitude of about 14,140 feet (4,310 meters) above sea level and holds historical significance as an old trade route between India and Tibet. The pass was a part of the ancient Silk Road and is known for its stunning landscapes and views of snow-capped mountains. Due to its strategic location, it was closed after the 1962 Sino-Indian War but was later reopened for limited trade and pilgrimage purposes in 2006. The area is under military control and requires permits for tourists to visit. The journey to Nathula Pass offers breathtaking scenery but can also be challenging due to the high altitude and weather conditions.
