Has God cast away His people not that He is showing mercy to the Gentiles?
God has temporarily postponed Israel's program, and inserted the "dispensation of grace" (Eph. 3:2).
This dispensation was a mystery when God is forming the body of Christ to live in the heavenly places.
The mystery is a new chance for Gentiles (all lost people) to be saved by believing directly on what Jesus Christ has done (1 Cor. 15:3, 4) without going through and blessing Israel (Gen. 12:1-3).
Paul is the "apostle of the Gentiles."
Acts 15 (Gal. 2:7-9) was when the Jerusalem Conference was held and Peter's group, the "little flock" (Luke 12:32) agreed that Christ had postponed their ministry.
The vessels of mercy are Peter's and Paul's groups.
God chose which groups would serve Him, not who would believe.
