This is an original set of four songs for children to celebrate aspects of the Chinese New Year. The pentatonic scale is used to give the songs an oriental feel. However, the songs are not slaves to that scale.

Each song can be used as a stand-alone piece or performed together as a cohesive whole. It is very possible to create your own actions around this music.

Included are the parts and MP3 files with a flute playing the melody, which is a great help while earning the songs.

Score is available at: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/6402378

The Songs are:
00:00 1. Praying for the Harvest
01:55 2. Relatives
02:45 3. Dumplings (or.... Mince Tarts, Turkey etc.)
04:54 4. New Year

Piano Part
The piano part is not difficult to play, but it will require someone who can play more than “just a bit”.
