Denial of Childhood Trauma

Blind denial in patients with anxiety is where they deny the pain of their childhood and insist that it was great or typical.

This denial is a coping mechanism that began in childhood, where you tell yourself that abuse or trauma is okay, and this pattern continues into adulthood.

It is important to recognize the impact of childhood trauma and the role of denial in preventing healing.
