The Republic of Peru is a country in western South America, bordered by Ecuador and Colombia to the north, Brazil to the east, Bolivia to the east, southeast, and south, Chile to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Peru is a country rich in anthropological culture and is known as the birthplace of the Inca Empire whose capital was Machu Picchu. In addition, about 10 percent of this country is desert area. Uniquely, in the middle of the Peruvian desert, there is a hidden village called Huacachina.
