Life of the Floating Village People in Tonle Sap

Like the floating village community in Tonle Sap, the largest lake in Cambodia and even in all of Southeast Asia. Most of the people living in these floating villages are immigrants from Vietnam who have lived in Cambodia for three to four generations. Although many of them were born and raised in Cambodia, not everyone has official identification or birth certificates proving their citizenship. Meanwhile, Cambodian law denies land ownership rights to those who are not citizens, so these people found a solution by living off the shore of the lake.
