Our #JFK60 coverage continues tonight at 9 Eastern with an encore presentation of this October 2022 Maverick News broadcast. We hope you enjoy it.

30 years after the death of Jim Garrison , we remember the former New Orleans District Attorney who inspired Kevin Costner's character in Oliver Stone's 1992 opus, "#JFK."

Garrison was the only prosecutor in history to file murder charges against any of the Kennedy assassination (alleged) conspirators.

Although his prosecution of Clay Shaw was ultimately unsuccessful, Garrison left an indelible imprint on history. If the jury in that trial had been the American people, Jim Garrison probably would have won his case.

We talk to historian Jim DiEugenio (screenplay writer for Oliver Stone's documentary series "JFK Revisited" and author of the companion book) about how the work of Jim Garrison paved the way for three generations of JFK Assassination researchers, including himself.

We look back at the life of Jim Garrison, hear from both his critics and his supporters, and show you a rare excerpt from Garrison's final interview recorded shortly before his death on October 21, 1992.
