On July 2, 1937, Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, disappeared somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. They were on their way to Howland Island, a tiny speck of land in the middle of the ocean, as part of Earhart's attempt to become the first woman to fly around the world.
Eighty-six years later, Earhart's disappearance remains one of the greatest mysteries of all time. There are many theories about what happened to her, including that she crashed into the ocean, was captured by the Japanese, or landed on a nearby island.
In this episode, we'll explore the evidence for and against each of these theories.
So join us in Room 2008 as we take a deep dive into one of the most fascinating and enduring mysteries of our time.
