Watch and Pray With Thanksgiving - Carol Vey

After I finished recording this video, I continued to contemplate the story of the ten lepers. Although ten were cleansed, only one turned back to praise and give thanks to The Lord. The Lord said “your faith has made you well”. The greek for this word “well” is σέσωκέν (sesōken) Strong’s 4982 “sózó” which means to save, heal, preserve, rescue. This is the same saving faith that the woman with the issue of blood had. Where were the other nine lepers? I was reminded of the Parable of The Wedding Feast. The King sent his servants to gather those who were invited “But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business.” (Matthew 22:5). The nine were distracted with the cares of this world, not showing gratitude for their healing. They may have had “faith”, but were not “faithful”. Let us be like the one who returned, giving praise and Thanks to The Lord.
