This week on Open Your Eye, Tarra Simpson & Kim Cooper are joined by Kristopher Brown from PSILO Temple

As part of the leadership council for PSILO Temple Kris helps provide direction, foster understanding and cooperation, and aid in the facilitation and planning of their events. He specializes in providing care and comfort in ceremony, and in active and compassionate listening.
Kris was raised ELCA Lutheran, and was joyfully called to a life of spiritual service from a young age. At about twelve years old he began earnest participation and training in liturgy, theology, pastoral care, worship music, peer education and leadership training among other endeavors. Until the age of eighteen his relationship and devotion to the church deepened significantly, and he was on track for a life of service as a dedicated youth minister.
"As I transitioned into College I encountered a crisis of faith. My studies in the Philosophy program began to open my mind to a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the world and our place in it. I rebelled. Hard. Against my faith, God, the world, and myself.
After ( or maye during) a very long, and a very dark night of the soul, the mushrooms entered my life. With them came the promise of a new direction, and salvation from addiction. My journey into the psychedelic sphere saved my life, and rekindled my passion for a path of healing and service. This path has led to my training as a Licensed Massage Therapist, and sound healing practitioner. I’ve spent the last 9 years of my life helping to heal the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wounds abundant in our culture today."
Through his work with PSILO Temple, Ihe has learned first hand the value inherent in taking charge of your own healing journey.
