He Loved Him Madly - Miles Davis

A dark journey - Miles' tribute to jazz great Duke Ellington. This piece is the whole of side 2 of the LP...always changing.
Definitely Miles most mysterious recording in my book. I always hear something I didn't in the last play.

The flutist soars to the clouds and back in retrospsect, sadness. freedom, realization, joy...Miles' horn reveals his sadness re: Ellington, and his own fights with his demons...
Enjoy, epsecially if you've never heard it. It's rather spooky in several places, probably not dinner music :) Dark room with a couple candles. It's almost a slow dirge...
...tell me what you think after you listened to the whole thing - in comments, if you care to, even if only a few words.
You can tell that the players are all in the same headpace and connected in a spiritual way.
As Dieter Meier said, 'Music is Magic.'

[This performance could never be repeated -ever. -SK]
