The International Law of U.N. Charter of 1978 says occupied people and besieged people (Palestine) have the actual Right for Armed Self Defense of themselves. Palestine has been listed as Besieged since 1948 by (Israel), International Law.

3. International Court of Justice (ICJ) and International Criminal Court (ICC): The ICJ settles legal disputes between states and gives advisory opinions on international legal questions. Israel, like any other country, can be taken to the ICJ, but only if it consents to the court’s jurisdiction. The ICC can prosecute individuals for genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of aggression. However, the ICC only has jurisdiction if the accused is a national of a state party, the crime took place on the territory of a state party, or if the situation is referred to by the Security Council. Israel is not a party to the Rome Statute, which established the ICC, so the Court’s jurisdiction is limited without a Security Council referral, which, as mentioned, can be vetoed by any of the permanent members.

These letters, dated from 29 September 2000 (A/55/432-S/2000/921) to 2 May 2011 (A/ES-10/517-S/2011/280) constitute a basic record of the crimes being committed by Israel, the occupying Power, against the Palestinian people since September 2000. For all of these war crimes, acts of State terrorism and systematic human rights violations committed against the Palestinian people, Israel, the occupying Power, must be held accountable and the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
