Michael Fish's NBC26 weather forecast

Today looks mostly sunny and quiet during the daytime hours with highs in the low-40s. A strong cold front is on the way for late tonight some flurries or and snow showers. As of right now, if there was any accumulation, it would only be a trace-1", with the higher totals farther to the north. The catch is, it might fall quickly enough to accumulate on some roads and sidewalks. Lows will bottom out in the mid-20s with the winds really picking up late. Get ready for a blustery and cold Thursday behind the front. The sun will be coming out, but the temperatures are going to be falling as we head through the afternoon. Basically, you'll feel a taste of winter. Highs will only top out in the upper-20s to lower-30s before falling through the afternoon. Friday will be cold with clouds increasing late in the day. Highs will struggle to make it above freezing. Saturday, some folks should see some snow, while others may start mixing in rain. Either way, some accumulation is possible, but it's much too early to be putting any sort of numbers on this system. As of this writing, it does NOT look major. Sunday, we could see a few rain and snow showers with highs near 40.
