Dutch politician attacked with beer bottle

A man wielding a beer bottle attacked Dutch politician Thierry Baudet on Monday, leaving him needing hospital treatment. Baudet was greeting some of his supporters in the city of Groningen, when the unhinged attacker lunged at him with the bottle, hitting him several times. The man was restrained and eventually arrested, while Baudet was treated at the hospital, the bottle having narrowly missed his eye.
