This is the gruesome moment doctors pulled a five inch blade from a stab victim's back - more than two WEEKS after the puncture wound was stitched up by surgeons.

Shopkeeper Narendra Patel, 35, was attacked at work and went to hospital where medics repaired the wound - apparently missing the huge blade left inside.

After more than two weeks of pain and a fever the businessman went to another hospital and an x-ray revealed an object deep inside her body.

Surgeons in Mehsana in the western Indian state of Gujarat, cut open the healing wound and pulled out a huge metal knife blade.
