Harnwell: As Desperation Sets In, Zelensky Begins His Purge Of The Military

“The message that I bring you today, Mr. President, is that the United States of America is with you. We will remain with you for the long haul.“ Thus lied Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin in Kiev today on an unannounced visit.

Zelensky’s response was tellingly dry — for a man who normally won’t shut up — “We count on your support.”

As the walls close in on President Tenpercentskyy, desperation dictates a purge. But not even purging military top brass can save him now — indeed, it’s more likely that the military will be purging itself of him.
