Man Brought To Tears After Seeing Colors For The First Time
Thanks to special glasses from a company called EnChroma, people with colorblindness can finally see the world in a whole new light by merely putting on a pair of sunglasses. Enchroma gave Harry the gift of seeing color for the first time in over 50 years and his reaction is truly priceless!
Colorblind Harry was moved to tears when his co-workers bought him a pair of special glasses. One colleague brought in a box and handed it to Harry, as an early birthday present. When he opened the box, it was a pair of color-blindness glasses from Enchroma. This heartwarming video reminds us to cherish the simple things in life, like vision and colors.
Watch Harry’s priceless reaction when he is finally introduced to the world of colors that got him teary eyes. As you could imagine, seeing colors properly after living for 50 years will likely garner a memorable reaction. So, when Harry popped on his new EnChroma glasses, his colleagues decided to film his experience, and it's extremely heartwarming. His caring co-workers hold balloons in all colors and Harry gets the opportunity to enjoy the diversity of color.
Even the primary blue of his jeans is enough to impress the man. By the end of the video, Harry is all in tears; he gives a big hug to each one of his colleagues for the best present he ever got. The clip makes you appreciate something that most people take for granted every day!
In the past, there was not much cure for color blindness, and it was a condition there wasn't much that could be done about it. But, nowadays that can be changed.
The glasses that are designed by EnChroma have specially tinted lenses which help color blinded people to see colors better; however, they do not cure colorblindness.
People who wear color blind glasses also might widen the career opportunities for them and help them match the right colors. By wearing the EnChroma glasses more accurate color recognition and their brans can better distinguish red wavelengths from green wavelengths. How cool is that?
Did you know that men are more likely to be colorblind? The genes that inherited color blindness are on the X chromosome, and because men have one X chromosome and women have two X chromosome, and that is the reason men are much more likely to be colorblind than women.
In most cases color blindness is triggered by abnormal photopigments, those are the color-detecting molecules that are cone-shaped and are located within a layer at the back of the eyeball that contains cells sensitive to light, which trigger nerve impulses that pass via the optic nerve to the brain.
There are three kinds of color blinded people. Some people are red-green color blind, people who are blue-yellow color blind and the third one is being total color blind, but those kind of cases are infrequent, the Red-Green Color Blindness is the most common. Big applause for EnChroma glasses which enabled people to see the true colors of the world!
