Wabash students learn penalty for trying to steal Monon Bell from DePauw University

Four Wabash students learned their punishment Friday for trying to steal the Monon Bell from a locked building on the campus of DePauw University over fall break. Tim Bookwalter, Putnam Co. Prosecutor, says three students hid behind the bleachers inside the Lilly Center for six hours while it was closed. A DePauw police officer spotted the fourth Wabash student waiting outside in a pickup truck.
