Jury Awards More Than 2 Million To Fired Officer After PTSD Incident
Sgt Matthew Hunter served the Des Moines Iowa Police Department honorably for more than 21 years, but tragedy struck when his close friend and partner, Sgt Joe Morgan, took his own life. Seeing the effect that the suicide had on Joe’s wife and the manner in which she and the family were treated by the department, following his suicide led Sgt Hunter down the dark journey of post-traumatic stress and self-destruction.
A misdemeanor arrest for disorderly conduct led to an official diagnosis of PTSD, but instead of allowing treatment, the police chief fired him. In this riveting interview with show host Randy Sutton, you'll hear about his amazing journey!
Lt. Randy Sutton can be heard every Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm ET / 7 pm PT on The Wounded Blue Hour on iHeart Radio on the America Out Loud Talk Radio Network.
