Spalted Maple Bolt Action Bullet Pen

While browsing at a local Woodcraft with my wife I came across this great bolt action bullet pen kit. So I picked one up to turn a pen for the local gun shop owner in town. Originally I started with some leopard wood, but when drilling it out I split the end. Then I tried a zebra wood blank, which I shattered an end when using the barrel trimmer. So in the end I went back to the spalted maple and wound up with a pretty decent looking pen.
