DIY Micro Crawler Course Build Part 1

Here's a look at how I built my Micro Crawler course for my 1/24th scale Axial SCX24 RCs. These things are so much fun to run that I wanted a place I could run them in my studio, but was also portable enough to travel with if I wanted to add them to another trail.

The build is pretty straight forward. You create shapes and cover them with Plaster Cloth. I used Woodland Scenics Plaster Cloth that I got at my local Hobbytown in Virginia Beach, but also tried some cheap stuff (2 Different brands) from Amazon after I bought up all they had at Hobbytown for the second board. It was same day delivery, so why not give it a shot and finish the project? It was not nearly as good as the Woodland Scenics. You definitely get what you pay for with the Woodland Scenics (WS). The cheapest one wasn't worth using and the mid-price other stuff was a good base layer to put the better WS plaster cloth on top of for the final layer that spreads the plaster better into the holes.
