Kishore Kumar (Abhas Kumar Ganguly) also known as Kishore Da or King of Playback Singing born 4 August 1929 and died 13 October 1987 was an Indian playback singer, musician and actor. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most influential and dynamic singers in the history of Indian music. Kumar was one of the most popular singers in the Indian subcontinent, notable for his yodeling and ability to sing songs in different voices. He used to sing in different genres but some of his rare compositions, considered classics, were lost in time. His big brother is Ashok Kumar. As an actor he acted in
Naukri (1954), Bhai Bhai (1956), New Delhi (1956), Aasha (1957), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Jhumroo (1961), Half Ticket (1962), Mr. X in Bombay (1964), Padosan (1968) also other famous movies. His Spouses Ruma Ghosh(m. 1950;div. 1958)​, Madhubala (m. 1960; died 1969), ​Yogeeta Bali (m. 1976; div. 1978), ​Leena Chandavarkar ​(m. 1980)​ and his children are Amit Kumar, Sumit Kumar.
