'You’re getting SMASHED TO PIECES!' | Tyson Fury unleashes TIRADE at Usyk | Feisty head-to-head

World heavyweight champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk had to be pulled apart as they went head to head after Thursday’s announcement of their unification bout in Saudi Arabia February 17th.

Fury had spent the media conference launching a verbal tirade at his Ukrainian opponent - who, like him, has an unbeaten record - before the on-stage face-off threatened to turn ugly in front of Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone.

The winner of the ‘Ring of Fire’ showdown in Riyadh will be crowned the division's first undisputed world champion since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999, with Fury's WBC belt and the WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO titles held by Usyk at stake.

Briton Fury (34-0-1) enters a fight on the back of last month's fraught split decision non-title fight win over former UFC heavyweight king Francis Ngannou.

The 35-year-old suffered a knockdown and sufficient damage against the boxing debutant to delay this clash by two months.

Southpaw Usyk (21-0-0) defended his titles against Englishman Daniel Dubois in August, when he was dropped in the fight by a punch which the referee declared a low blow.

The 36-year-old is aiming to emulate American great Holyfield by becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion having already conquered the cruiserweight division.

The fight will form part of 'Riyadh Season' - an entertainment events festival held in Saudi Arabia's capital every winter since 2019 - which will also include a blockbuster December 23rd card featuring heavyweights Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.
