Can walking 10,000 steps a day really change your life? Follow Jason Lanier as he goes from hip replacement surgery to walking over 1,000 MILES without stopping for 6 months straight.

In early 2020 Jason had hip replacement surgery to fix an issue he's had since being a young boy called Leg Perthes Disease. In addition to his hip problems Jason was born with deformed ankles that required him to wear ankle braces his entire adult life. The doctors only solution is to perform ankle fusion surgeries.

Before taking that route, Jason decided to take on the 10,000 steps a day challenge to see if it would improve his health. Not only to help with the chronic pain and lack of mobility that he suffered, but also with the weight gain that had taken place on his body due to the lack of activity he was able to do on a daily basis.

This video takes you through the journey that Jason underwent as he went from a walker to assist him with walking to jogging on the Dalton Highway in Alaska.

It's an in depth look at the struggles many overweight and disabled people go through, and Jason hopes by sharing his journey it will help other people out there as well to overcome the challenges they face in their lives.

Thanks for watching.
