Longer IS Better; Here's Why You Should Go Train Long Range

As you ex girlfriend always said, longer is better. Same goes for when you're shooting at distance, esp when using a 5.56 platform. Long range shooting may not be as sexy as upclose mag dumps but in reality way more necessary in a "fighting for freedom" scenario.
