Deja Taylor, is the mother of the 6 year old student that shot a Virginia teacher named Abigail Zwerner while in class on January 6th, 2023, one shot that injured both her hand and upper torso

Deja Taylor was sentenced to 21 months yet she was facing 25 years, the gun was not secure from her son who suffers from extreme mental health issues and needs constant monitoring which he didn't have the day of the shooting, just weeks before the school shooting she shot at her son's dad with the same gun because of his girlfriend, she is charged with using marijuana while in possession of the gun and lied about using it when buying the gun as well
