The Security Service of Ukraine informed the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation about the suspicion that he "connected" the Rashist military bases to the captured power plants in the Kherson region

The Security Service has gathered evidence on the subject of sanctions Mykola Shulginov - the Minister of Energy of Russia - who is involved in waging an aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the high-ranking official helps the top military-political leadership of the Russian Federation in providing electricity to the occupying groups.

For this purpose, in July 2022, Shulginov arrived in the temporarily occupied Crimea, where he announced the "joining" of the peninsula's energy system to the captured power plants in the left-bank Kherson region.

According to the plan of the Russian official, the corresponding high-voltage power transmission lines operate in the directions "Kakhovska - Dzhankoi" and "Kakhovska - Ostrovska".

Thus, it provides power supply to military units and occupation administrations of Russia, which are based on the temporarily occupied territory in the south of Ukraine.

In addition, Shulginov fulfills the Kremlin's task of connecting captured Ukrainian energy facilities to the unified energy system of the aggressor country.

Based on the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed Shulginov of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
▪️ Part 2 Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
▪️ ch. 1, 2 Art. 332-1 (violation of the procedure for entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine).

The sanction of the articles provides for a punishment of up to 10 years in prison. Since the perpetrator is on the territory of Russia, comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice for crimes against our state.

The investigation was conducted under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office.
