This Giant Panda Fail Compilation Really Made Us Laugh

If you ever wondered why the Giant Panda is labeled as a vulnerable species according to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), we think we may have found the answer. A compilation of clips from the Giant Panda enclosure at Toronto ZOO shows general panda-monium, as both Panda adults and cubs slide, roll, tumble and even nose-dive around the enclosure. Yikes!

In 2003, scientists from Zoo Atlanda in Chengdu, and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding published a study that described trends in the behavior of giant panda cubs. Among other findings, the study confirmed that falling was a normal and expected part of the play of the giant panda cubs being reared by their mother. So while the cubs' antics may seem painful, falling over is in fact a normal part of play for the animals.

'We at the Toronto Zoo wanted to show you just how promising the development of Canada's first giant panda cubs has been over the last 24 months,' the ZOO said in a statement.

So, if you ever feel a bit down, just look up this video compilation titled ‘Panda Opera’ and we assure you it will cheer you up! The compilation was released to coincide with the cubs' second birthday.

You are most welcome!
